Students Leaders go WILD during LTC!

The student leaders went wild and crazy in a 4D3N Leadership Training Camp held on 17 March to 20 March 2010, in Loola, Indonesia.
It was attended by 35 student leaders, including PSLs and House Captains, and 3 teachers, namely Mr Sharom, Mr Bernard and Ms Lynn Quan.
The Leadership Training Camp was the most anticipated camp in the Student Leader Board and everyone was excited when they were waiting for the ferry at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.
"LTC is interesting meaningful for me, especially having to experience 3 hours of trekking and 5 hours of kayaking. It's not the usual camp we attended, but the camp that emphasizes teamwork, communication and unity amongst all leaders." commented Chester Yeo, Day IC gor the third day of camp.
Yeo added that the camp has also left him with fond memories.
The leaders experienced different and difficult events like high elements, trekking, kayaking, rafting, sea-bed walk and spending one night on an abandoned island where they had to prepare everything themsleves.
It was was not an easy task to complete extreme high elements and stations, which have been specially designed for the training camp.
In addition, student leaders had to put up with the sand, dirt and seawater in their shoes and continued their extreme activities like 6-storey high flying fox.
Despite all challenges like kayaking under the hot sun for 5 hours and spending a night in a totally pitch-dark island, student leaders fostered strong bonds and most importantly, most of the leaders managed to overcome their fear of heights.
Yeo Fu Cheng, the Day IC for the second day, said that it was the activity, "Boom Net" that requires the most courage and encouragement from his friend in which everyone had to jump into the sea from a ship.
"Although there was a net in the sea for us to jump into, many had still got to overcome their fear of heights and drowning. We even had to persude a girl for 15 minutes in order for her to jump!" he added.
There is no "I" in team. During the camp, the leaders not only endured hardships and had fun at the same time, they also learnt that communication, courage to lead, teamwork and initiative are essential to everyone, especially the student leader.
"If there is a one month LTC, i would not mind going for it again with the same group of people!" Kimberly Goh said merrily.
