All the Sec 2s Unite!

The Secondary 2 Adventure Camp 2010 - a camp unlike any other.

The Sec 2 Camp was held at Jalan Bahtera Adventure Centre, on 8 Febraury to 10 February.

It was a 3D2N camp organized by the Planning Commitee 2010 of HIHS.

This camp was the most anticipated amongst most of the sec 2s. It is their last chance to attend a camp together as a class.

The adventure camp unleashed the potential with the students and allowed them to step out of their comfort zone, working independently with their peers.

It was easy to feel the excitement that enveloped the camp site as the Secondary 2s gathered around at the first day of camp.

In the adventure camp, the secondary 2 students experienced high elements, kayaking, flying fox and station games that they had never tried before.

"This camp made my class more united. We even broke a record for a station game," commented Patricia Yeo, a record breaker in this adventure camp.

The camp ended off well with a exciting campfire.

All the classes performed for everyone and some classes even composed their own class cheer.

Cheers and laughter were everywhere as everyone really had fun at the climax of the camp.

At the end of the day, the "Best Class Award" was taken away by Secondary 2 Integrity.

However, the rest of the classes were contented enough for having been through the camp as a class together.

Sidhant Singh, a new student of the school, commented that the camp was a very good way for him to make more friends and build rapport with his classmates.

It certainly was a tiring camp as all the campers were sleeping in the bus on their way back to school.

But it was unlike a camp like any other. It was a fun camp, and a memorable one too.

"I would definitely want to attend this camp again with the same people!" said Shirnise Lee, another enthusiastic camper of the adventure camp.
